OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES OEMS COMMUNICATIONS STATEMENT 20-06

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Registry of EMT’s has eliminated the requirement that one-third of continuing education be conducted in a live classroom or live video setting. This allows for all continuing education to be completed in a distributive or online method. This office supports this model of education and will allow the same standard for the remainder of EMR, EMT and AEMT certified personnel renewing in 2020.
